  • What is a "session" fee?
    • A session fee is the investment you make to cover my time, both while taking your pictures, and also any editing needed afterward.
       
  • When do I need to pay?
    • All payments are due at the time of ordering.  For example - your session fee will be due before leaving the studio the day of your session.  If you ordered prints or other products, payment is due up front before the order can be placed.
       
  • What should I wear for my photo shoot?
    • That's a great question!  My best advice is this: Stay away from bold patterns or clothing with words on it, as these things can take focus off of those who are being photographed.  Choose a color scheme that coordinates (don't worry about everyone wearing identical clothing!), like browns/greens/mustard or plum/rose/navy.  Let everyone choose one or two colors that go well together and wear something in that hue.  Check out Pinterest for some great inspiration!  Oh!  And, if you are doing an outdoor shoot in sunlight, try to avoid wearing white, as the natural lighting will easily wash you out.  Just take a moment and think about where your session is going to take place.  If you're shooting on a sandy beach, high heels are probably not the best choice, as flip flops would not work well if shooting in a corn field.
       
  • Why can't I have ALL of the photos from my session?

  • Why are your prices a lot lower than other photographers in the area?
    • I'm glad you asked that.  We've all heard the expression, "You get what you pay for," but that is not true in this case.  It is my passion to make sure that money is NEVER the reason people go without capturing their memories.  Quality photography should NOT be reserved for those with the biggest budgets.  Whether we're shooting in your back yard, or a five-star hotel, I will be honored to photograph every emotion taking place, turning your moment of the heart into a work of art...without breaking the bank.
       
  • Where will my photo shoot take place?
    • Wherever you want it to take place!  You can come to my home, where I have a studio set up, or I can visit you with my portable backdrops and lights.  I love to shoot photos at locations that mean something to the person I am photographing.  Is it an engagement session?  Great!  Let's go to the location where you first met...went on your first date...or shared your first kiss!  Is there a tree in town that you just have to drive past whenever possible so you can soak in its beauty?  Let's capture that, too! :-)
       
  • Is there an additional charge for multiple locations?
    • No.  Anywhere within 30 miles of 52501 is included in your package price.  Please keep in mind, though, that if you book a 2-hour session, but choose locations that are 30-minutes away from each other, the time available to shoot your photos is shortened to 90 minutes.
       
  • How long will my photo shoot take?
    • That depends on the session type of your choice.  A mini photo shoot usually runs around 30 minutes, while a full senior portrait session can take several hours.
       
  • What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my session?
    • Bad weather happens.  I keep a close eye on daily and weekly forecasts, to determine whether or not sessions need to be rescheduled.  I will do my best to accommodate all of my clients, and make arrangements for another session at a time when weather is more conducive to capturing great shots.
       
  • When will I be able to see my proofs?
    • After your photo shoot is over, you can expect all of your proofs to be ready within two weeks.  You will receive a link to your online gallery where you can view, share, and order your favorites.
